The human spirit is an amazing thing--it gives us wings to rise above circumstance.   I have been privileged to come to know the work of a man who creates beautiful jewelry despite the lack of jewelry-making facilities or precious metals.  

He works from the hobby shop of a Louisiana penitentiary where he crafts intricate etched triple-layered tracery crosses with hand tools from what he has available to him:  simple stainless steel, brass, and copper.
