The Tender Tenacity of Seeds

When I arrived home this evening, I got my shoes wet carrying stuff to the house so I decided that

since I was in for  the proverbial penny,

I might as well be in for the proverbial pound as well

and I waded out to the garden

with the mud literally sucking the shoes off of my feet

to check for progress. 

 

The news is happy: 

lots of little seedlings are poking their heads above ground

and the lemon basil

(I was more worried about that than anything else)

is sprouting, too. 

 

Just look at these healthy little cucumber seedlings. 

Good things really do happen every day!
