A Visitor to My Garden

It's a bit chilly for a South Mississippi January day but not humid, not windy, and nicely sunny, so I thought it would be okay to spray paint a plate rack and a metal basket that live in my kitchen.  While I was between coats of paint, I went to visit my untidy garden, and my neighbor's cat came to visit me.  

Spike is a precious creature--beautiful and skittish and shy.  I am honored that he trusts me.  He even asked to sit on my lap for awhile, and that's a very rare thing.  

I happened to have my cell phone in my pocket, so I snapped a picture--not a good one, unfortunately, because of the angle of the late afternoon sun, but a nice memento of my first garden visitor this year.
